SDG commitments and TTFs: a social and sustainable approach

Social responsibility and sustainability as a sign of identity

Our commitment to the 2030 agenda includes those SDGs linked to our purpose and vision, extending to all our stakeholders and throughout our value chain. As an organisation dedicated to training, research and innovation, and which also has the RSA+ Aragon Social Responsibility seal, we deploy our strategic lines in such a way that they contribute to six objectives defined as priorities.

These six sustainable development goals are consciously and with conviction assumed in the management of the organisation by all its members. These SDGs constitute the DNA of the strategies employed in the different actions undertaken and are justified by the role that our organisation plays as a centre linked to the vocational training of young people and adults and as a link with the business fabric and the university.

To ensure inclusive, equitable and quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. CIFPA, as a VET teacher training centre, is committed to increasing the number of young people and adults with the technical and professional skills required today to access employment. This is achieved by updating the skills of the teachers who teach Vocational Training, with training that is adjusted to the qualification needs demanded by the productive sector.

Achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. CIFPA ensures women's full and effective participation and equal leadership opportunities at all decision-making levels in political, economic and public life. It is committed to promoting policies to reconcile work and family life within its organisation and in educational centres. CIFPA also promotes STEM learning among women.

Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all. CIFPA develops multiple development-oriented actions that support productive activities, the creation of decent jobs, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation, and encourage the formalisation and growth of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises. CIFPA implements volunteer programmes, vocational guidance and vocational certificates to significantly reduce the proportion of young people who are not in employment, education or training.

Industry, innovation and infrastructures. As a Centre for Innovation and Teacher Training, we will promote transversal and specific digitalisation of each professional family for teachers, with the aim of improving the qualifications of future workers in companies. The digitalisation of the education sector is promoted by the Ministry of Education and Vocational Training.

Ensure sustainable consumption and production patterns. Our work on this objective is, on the one hand, at the level of our facilities, achieving sustainable management and efficient use of the nearest resources. And, on the other hand, we must raise awareness and offer the relevant knowledge to teachers, educational centre management teams and companies to achieve sustainable development and maintain lifestyles in harmony with nature.

Revitalise the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development. CIFPA initiates regional and international cooperation on and access to science, technology and innovation and increase knowledge sharing on mutually agreed terms, including by improving coordination between existing mechanisms, in particular with EU member countries. We encourage and promote effective partnerships in the public, public-private and civil society spheres, building on the experience and resourcing strategies of partnerships.

Social Responsibility of Aragon (RSA+)

The Centro de Innovación para la Formación Profesional de Aragón (CIFPA) consolidates a trajectory of recognition of its Social Responsibility with Aragon. The seal awarded annually by the Government of Aragon, together with CEOE Aragon, Cepyme Aragon, UGT and CC.OO., is evidence of the work we do to generate actions and services with a more sustainable and responsible social impact.

We are proud to share this recognition with all of you, assuring you that we will continue to innovate and contribute in order to continue renewing it.
